This study presents a form-based application development system for microcomputers. The system interfaces with a relational datahase management system and simulates the hierarchical database model on it. The slmulated hierarchical database model is used to implement the form data model which is a two-dimensional representation of hierarchical data. The system provides users the ability to specify forms and manipulate data under the forms. The system has been implemented using C data relational database management system which can be run on microcomputers. This DBMS offers a set of useful database interface routines for manipulating and managing data. These routines can be called using C language which has been selected to implement the system.
