There is a way to measure the degree of complexity of spatial information by evaluating how fast length, or surface, or volume increases if we measure with respect to smaller and smaller scales. Fractal Dimension is the useful parameter for calculate the complexity of GIS map content. It is the most popular parameter and more accurate for explaining and describing the natural textures or natural phenomena. The calculation of complexity of the man-made objects on the map i. e. roads networks can also be implemented by this parameter. The experiments are performed for checking the stabilization in transfo1mation of spatial information from changing scales and applied Mathematical Morphology properties as the tools for investigate the difference after transformation by using the self-similarity properties of Fractal Dimension based measurement.
