This study concerns with the simulation of the multi-purpose, multiunit water resources system operation in the Chao Phaya River Basin Project in order to find the preferable operation procedure among many possible ones when the two reservoirs are jointly operated. The introduction of the concepts of priority, safety level or low flow level makes it possible to find out the rule curve which gives the preferable output. But this study is still academic exercise, not the practical one, since the flood control is not considered. Three reasonable conditions of priority. are assumed as follows: l) firm power (PF) secondary power (PS) wet season irrigation (Iw) and dry season irrigation (ID); 2) Iw, Pf ,Ps, Id : 3) Iw , Id , Pf , Ps. By following the rule curve that is made under these priority and low flow level conditions, and using the records of 22 years, simulation of the operation is done. The diversion requirement for irrigation and the capacity of power plant etc. are determined on the basis of the actual conditions and one space rule is assumed, Comparison of expected water supply for each sector under different conditions are done on the basis of the results of simulation. About 30% of low flow level is considered the most available level for making the rule curve, and the priority condition IW, PF, PS , ID may be acceptable.
