Electricity demand functions are derived on the assumptions that the demands are products of rate of utilization of electrical appliances and stock of the appliances, and the desired stock of appliances is related to actual stock of the appliances by logarithmic adjustment flow model. The demand functions are dynamic with one year lagged dependent variable as an independent variable. The electricity consumption and other economic data of each region are pooled together to increase the sample size and the demand functions are estimated by error component method with an instrument variable for the lagged variable. The demand functions are found to be price and income inelastic in short run UR - http://203.159.5.9/ait-thesis/detail.php?q=B22310 ER -
