The design of pile foundation constructed on multi-layered soil deposits, the pile foundation designing depended on a practical experience and empirical design rules that need to generalization of subsoil conditions and important of all. There are problems of pile foundation design in Bangkok area because that have groundwater change occurs. Firstly, the heavy consumption of groundwater by deep well pumping which caused piezometric level decline and secondary, the low consumption of groundwater which decreased piezometric pressure in Bangkok and metropolitan area. Consequently, the single pile foundation analysis need to concentrate on groundwater level drawdown and rebound associated with soil conditions. Because of groundwater drawdown caused effective stress increased, and while groundwater recovery result in effective stress decreased occurs. Then, effective stress of soil is decreases and uplift pressure is increases which cause factor of safety of building is decrease UR - http://203.159.5.9/ait-thesis/detail.php?q=B04834 ER -
