The jet discharges vertically upward from a circular orifice located a distance H below the water surface. Experimental results were obtained using water and a water-detergent mixture; each liquid having a different value of interfacial surface tension with air. The heights of the surface disturbance n obtained from laboratory measurements, were accurately predicted from theoretically derived equations for a range of the parameter n/H between 0.7 and 20 UR - http://203.159.5.9/ait-thesis/detail.php?q=B23283 ER -
