    <subfield code="a">A method is presented for computing the ultimate load carrying capacity of steel reinforced concrete cantilever columns' subjected to  combined axial load and bending moment. The stress-strain curves of the component materials are idealized to be elastic-perfectly plastic.  Moment-thrust-curvature relations are first established and numerical integration is used to construct the equilibrium curves. Finally, a stability criterion is applied to determine the ultimate loads and obtain the interaction curves. Numerical results are discussed in  connection with the design of steel reinforced concrete columns. </subfield>
