  <abstract>Nusa Tenggara Agricultural Support Project (NTASP) is a new development model, as a pilot project in order to create more' job opportunities for the rural people and to generate income. The means of achieving NTASP goal is to increase income and improve the productive capacity of the rural poor also to improve the capacity of local government apparatus to generate programs. The problems of this study is to satisfy the need for such information what are the obstacles, gaps, success, and need for further improvement of the project in terms of either planning or implementation. The study was to asses the impact whether the rural poor, the target group of NTASP, have benefited form the project/ interring of income generation, labour absorbtion and adoption of agricultural practice. The survey has identified beneficiaries before and after of the project in relation to the type of sub-project. The findings of the study reveal the facts that while the project has a positive impact, Food crop production project have better impact in ters of labourers absorbtiont and livestock rearing project have better impact in terms of income generation. Recommendations are presented that rural people are to be encourage to actively take part in development programs. In order to sustain project benefits, planning for after the termination of the project should be done and for further studies related to this issue. </abstract>
