In the context of globalization, the competition among businesses in each industry is becoming fiercer. The comparative advantages in terms of production costs, input technology, etc. are increasingly narrowing, as the tariff barriers are gradually removed, especially for confectionery industry and ones who are under this business in Vietnam. Optimizing the production system and specializing the supply chain management is considered as one of the classic strategies to help Bibica integrate deeper and deeper into the USD 1,355 million confectionery market in Vietnam by the year 2020 [1]. The question is how Bibica Corporation - a Joint stock company originating from a long-standing State-owned company - can achieve their own challenging business goals in the near future while the operation budget within this industry is limited. This requires Bibica to apply an appropriate Human Resource policy to maintain and encourage the creativity and dedication of each individual into the overall development of the business. The objective of this study is to identify which leadership style is currently used in Bibica Corporation, from the perspective of the line managers, a key and inherited team of the corporation, and which leadership style motivated them and whether or not it is possible to improve business performance if the leadership style meets employees' expectations. In this study, the survey was designed and conducted with 100-line managers and junior staff working at Bibica Office in Ho Chi Minh city. The finding of this study indicates that transformational leadership behaviors are positively associated with employee work motivation and business performance.
