  <abstract>A multi objective goal programming method is proposed for use in analyzing problems involving a network flow structure which are commonly found in water resources planning situations. The goals considered are the minimization of i) Costs, ii) Water quality impact, and  iii) Land use impact. Besides, the model selects interceptor routes, treatment plants, transport routes and sludge disposal sites along with flow through these facilities under optimal solutions. A hypothetical example problem dealing with regional wastewater treatment and residual management is analyzed to demonstrate the potential usefulness of the method. The sensitivity analysis has been carried out by changing i) the weights and ii) the cost parameters</abstract>
