This thesis is concerned with the route of cement transportation to find out the minimum total transportation cost of shipping cement from the factory to the customers' warehouses and at the same time the demand of each customer must be satisfied. To achieve the objective of this thesis, a transshipment model was used for finding the optimum result. The route of the Northeast of Thailand is employed as the studied area and TPI Polene Co., Ltd. is selected for data collection. This thesis considers four factors into the model including cement transportation cost, distance, number of cement shipped or demand, and supply capacities at the supply point. The results were compared with the actual activities to get the new alternatives that also give the minimum transportation cost. It was shown that there are the different routes of cement transp01tation between bag-cement type with bulk-cement type and the new routes of each cement type are obtained. Moreover, the model can reduce the total transportation cost in each type of cement. The QSB+ Program (the Quantitative Systems for Business Plus Program) is used for increasing the accuracy and swiftness in phase of computation effectively.
