The study of the performance of the auger press pile i s concentrated on the consequence of the construction technique. Auger press piling technique performed in clay seems to yield less effect on the pile capacity, compared to that performed in the sand . But its effect on settlement behaviour is clearly shown for both piling in c lay and sand. The empirical soil mechanics method for the estimation of the capacities of the three pile types is proposed .
