It employs a once-through cooling system. The objective of this study is to investigate the flow patterns induced by the outlet of the cooling water system under the effects of the varying tides. The most severe condition for the condenser discharges is considered under the full loading operation, i.e. Unit 1, 2, 3 and 4 in operation. A hydraulic scale model for the interested zone was constructed. Tests were carried out under the selected criteria of ambient tides.
