Total pollution loads into the bay annually were computed. From the assessment results, it was noted that the BOD loadings from industrial effluents were much greater than that from domestic sources, whereas annual waste loading from domestic sources were. relatively greater from industrial effluents. Through this pollution load assessment study, it was found out that the heavy metal pollution of the southern coast of Iligan Bay has already reached its alarming stage. In the northern coast of the bay, air pollution problems, particularly dust emissions from the cement manufacturing plants has adversely affected its surrounding vicinity.10aWater quality managementxNepalxPhewa Lake1 aLohani, B.N.,eChairperson1 aNguyen, Cong Thanh,eExamination Committee0 aChongrak Polprasert,eExamination Committee1 aOrth, H.M.,eExamination Committee2 aUSAID/ASEAN,eScholarship Donor2 aAsian Institute of Technology.tThesis ;vno.
