N2  - The study was carried out to assess the current broad content of environmental policy  of the Siam Cement Group and develop new specific policies for three subsidiary companies  of the group. Data concerning 'rationale to go green', 'environmental awareness',  'environmental impact and pollution' of each company is got by interviewing production,  marketing, and personnel managers and this is used in developing new policies.  In addition, International Standards or Guidelines - EMAS, ISO 14000, BS 7750 and  BCSD - will be added in forming a new policy content. Some current policy content which  are found to be good will be kept. Thus, the new policies will be more specific and suitable as  the policies will show their social responsibility how to conserve environment and do local  and international business in green way.
