Transport energy demand projections for the years 1995 and 2000 in Zhejiang Province of China were made, by mean s of MEDEE -S model, with respect to three transport development scenarios. The sce nario based results show that total energy demand will, compared to the one in 1986, double in 1995 and trible in 2000. Substitutions featured by a larger diesel share and a smaller coal share, compared with 1986, are expected. Data requirement for this kind of energy demand in a disaggregated way pratical experiences of data survey summarized. study which assesses was clarified and the in the province were Methodology of designing transport development scenarios for purpose of assessing energy demand was discussed.
