This researchsummarizes the assessment of the parameters that could play important role in terms of affecting the vehicle operating cost. For this case six indices are selected that are speed, number of lanes, fuel costs, annual average daily traffic, vehicle prices and roughness. Criteria defining the economic aspects of road users have been discussed. A review of studies onthe indices affecting the road user costs along with their findings has been presented. It is observed that not all the indices have effect on the operating costs of vehicles. The study includes all the possible data that could be collected within limited timeframe fromthe present scenario of Thailand so that the analysisresults could make some specific sense. Study includes the use of key software HDM-4 torun the analysis. The analysis results and interpretation of the results are carried out in Microsoft excel.Figures and graphs are plotted based on the analysisresultsgained from the software.
