| 520 | _aThe bullwhip effect is the phenomenon in which demand information tends to be amplifiedwhen moving up in a supply chain. In this research, we build a simulation model by use of@RISK software to help investigate the influence of parameters such as order quantity anddemand rate on the bullwhip measure for a two-stage supply chain model with one supplierand one customer. The simulation model is developed with the assumption that demandfollows Poisson distribution, and the continuous review policy is employed at thedownstream member of the supply chain. From the results received from simulation model,it can be concluded that the bullwhip effect is usually high when the continuous review(,)QR policy is employed by the downstream member. | ||
