520 _aWithin a span over a decade, citation analysis hasbecome one of the most popular approaches amongscholarly communications. Citation analysis which includes the amount of times that a paper or an author is cited, considers that theimportant works andinfluentialscientists are more cited than others. Citation index is an index of citation among publications which allow users can easily establish the documents, in which the later documents cite the earlier documents. Citation indexes are also the influential tools which allow searching the documents, which cited other given documents. A variant form of citation analysis tools are occurring in these days. Among various citation analysis tools, Google Scholar and Scopus are also influential tools and their citation counting techniques are also different and interested.Depending on the specifiedalgorithms and searching techniques, the number of cited counts and the ability of search are also different from each other. The researcherscannot identify which citation tool is more appropriate for using their counting citations. This research study concerns mainlythe technique of counting citation on Google Scholar and Scopus and which citation tool is more useful for which particular researchers and explains some advantages and limitations of the citation technique. Moreover,journal impact factor also largely relates with citation analysis. It indicates the frequency that is related with which journal{u2019}s articles are cited in scientific literature.Impact factors are applied not only to rank journals but also used to evaluate individual scholarly articles and research groups and departments and relating with the journals, editors and publishers.In this research, the amount of impact factor coulddifferentiate on specific fields and the result of impact factor how can be effective on that fields.
