| 520 | _aNowadays, the conservations of materials, environmental issues, and costs effective are three major issues in pavement business. The reuse of existing asphalt cement in Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) may reduce the amount of new asphalt cement required for new asphalt construction. However, the reuse of aged asphalt cement combined with new materials will also experience aging in its service life. This research is investigating the effects of aging to AC-WC hot mix asphalt recycling using Short Term Oven Aging (STOA) and Long Term Oven Aging (LTOA) method. Finding the choosen composition of RAP and new materials is the first stage in this research. After determining the Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC), then three types of specimen are made : control condition (unaged), STOA and LTOA specimens. All of specimens are tested to determine the Marshall Properties, durability and ITS test. The choosen composition of the mixes is 75% RAP : 25% new aggregates with 5.75% asphalt content from total mixture in OAC condition, the properties of mixture are : density 2.217 gr/cc, VMA 15.48%, VFB 69.47%, VITM 4.73%, stability 1930 kg, flow 3.17 mm, and MQ 617 kg/mm. The result indicated that aging process has changed the characteristics of the mixture. ITS test result shows the decreasing value from 5160 to 4723 and 4516 kPa. Stability value increasing from 1930 to 1943 and 1977 kg. Flow increasing from 3.17 to 3.50 and 3.60 mm. The RMS for 24 hours immersion decreasing from 98.59 to 90.84 and 95.28%. And the decreasing of TSR percentage from 79.25 to 76.38 and 66.04%. All for unaged, STOA and LTOA specimens respectively. | ||
