520 _aThis research is a study in behavioral science discipline regarding the public behavior in recyclables and waste segregation in public spaces in Bangkok. It aims to examine the past attempts in behavioral influencing policies (Intervention) designs, explore the factors affecting the public{u2019}s opinion and behavior, and prove the effectiveness of new way of design thinking for behavioral interventions in waste segregation in public spaces. The alternative intervention design approach focused on this research is called 2Nudge3, which is a policy intervention design which aim to alter the public behavior on the action level by using behavioral science insights combined with psychology and economic frameworks. There are 3 main studies included within this research which aim, first, to explore and evaluate the past attempts in intervention designs in Bangkok through key informant interviews with experts and stakeholders. Second, analyzing factors affecting the public oppinion and behavior under the framework of the theory of Planned Behavior by using online questionnaire and statistical analysis. Third, to test the effectiveness of nudge interventions against traditional intervention in recyclables and plastic waste segregation through a Randomized controlled trial (RCT) experiment conducted in a real-world situation. The results and insights gained from this research study can help shred lights in understanding the common mistakes repeated in the past interventions and why some designs worked, and some did not. They also created an analysis on how public{u2019}s intentions, opinions, social norms, and perceptions are form regarding recyclables and plastic waste segregation in public spaces in Bangkok. Lastly, the RCT test conducted in this research examined how nudge interventions can alter the public behavior in real world situation, both in qualitative term and quantitative terms, and how effective they are against traditional interventions
