520 _aSouthern region is main area of rubber plantation in Thailand because of suitable climate conditions and also rubber plantation was introduced since 1908. Rubber growers are expertise in rubber farming and size of rubber farm mostly characterized as small holding. Thap Put District is located in Phang Nga Province has rubber as economic crop that generate main household income. Field survey via questionnaire found that majority are smallholder. The farming practices mostly from experiences because they continue rubber cultivation from previous generation. ORRAF play impprtant in services and supports especially replanting program. Most of rubber farm is rubber-monoculture farming system due to the smallholders the Thap Put district have supplement sources of income, household income still remain in secured level. The plantation area mostly located in low land which comprise of 3 soil characteristics; sandy clay, sandy loam, and clay. Dominant rubber varieties in RRIM600, the tapping day is 5-4 days/week. The form of product and terms of benefit share can indicate the size of area occupied, less area occupied were distributed the rubber product in form of latex and cup lump to local assembly. at farm and local market and use household labor which mean there is no benefit share. In other hand large area occupied, USS is main form before distribute, local market and cooperative are selected channel and share 50:50. The overall government services and support are moderated satisfied except price intervention. The 3 biggest problems that rubber smallholders currently faced are; unstable price, diseases, and climate change. Behaviors are influenced by the farmer's socio-economic characteristics, the size of the farm, the characteristic of the farm, incentives, problems and constraint faced by farmers.
