| 520 | _aUrban areas are profoundly relying on the pedestrian as a human-powered transportation mode. However, it cannot deny that pedestrians are vulnerable road users due to inadequate infrastructure and frequent accidents. Improving the service quality of facilities and infrastructures are important for improving satisfaction and encouraging walking as a primary mode of transport. The aim of this study is to assess the factors that influent the pedestrian perception of satisfaction and to assess the pedestrian level of study. For first purpose, to evaluate the service quality of infrastructures and facilities, the modified RESCA model is used. Instead of original RECSA model, the items of Reliability, Accessibility, Comfort, Convenience, Safety and Security are developed and checked the model validity with confirmatory factor analysis by R Software. Then, the regression models were done to analyze the pedestrian satisfaction. The service quality variables such as reliability, accessibility, convenience are positively influenced to pedestrian satisfaction. According to pedestrian characteristics, pedestrians with higher education levels has lower satisfaction. Pedestrian satisfaction is varied with according to their trip types. Regarding to LOS, it is checked with HCM and Khisty method for quantitative and qualitative method. PLOS should be calculated not only based on its capacity, also considering environmental factors and should explored more productive ways to include both approaches. According to three study location results, low pedestrian satisfaction results in a lower PLOS, it is concluded that lower pedestrian satisfaction is correlated with lower pedestrian level of service. | ||
