520 _aA pedestrian bridge is one of the most important components of a road way in any country. Pedestrians in Yangon roads are often exposed to high risks. This is because of the less of the crosswalks, road signs and pedestrian bridges. Now there is a lot of pedestrian bridges in Yangon (Myanmar) than the past but there are still many people who do not use the pedestrian bridges in Myanmar. This research is to find out the factors affecting the pedestrian bridges in Yangon and to calculate the use rates of twelve pedestrian bridges in Yangon.The study sites are revealed in methodology section. The equations for calculation of use rates is also shown in section 3.2.1. Since the variables to analyze the factors affecting the usage of pedestrian bridges are dichotomous, binary logistic regression model is used for it. Dummy variables (1 and 0) are set for each variables and the significant level is p = 0.05. The first analysis section is that showing the usage of the bridges based on the variables. In that section, the percentage and total numbers of users and non-users according to age, gender, time, bridge with or without median and number of lanes under the bridge that are independent variables of this logistic model. The second section of this study includes the morning and evening use rates of weekend and weekday for each study locations and the third part contains the calculations and interpretations of binary logistic regression analysis.
