| 520 | _aCurrently, the cost of asphalt binder which is made from crude oil is highly increase and affects to the road construction costs. Using Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is a way to reduce construction costs. It is not only re-using old materials but it is a way to reduce waste as well. In this study, asphalt mixes consisting of 0, 10, 20, 30, and 40% RAP would be evaluated by using the Superpave design method. All materials would be taken from local sources in Thailand. Moisture sensitivity, resilient modulus, and densification energy indices of each mixture were evaluated. The results showed that mixture with 10% RAP was an optimum mixture to use as an asphalt concrete because their properties met the Superpave{u2019} specification. Higher percentage of RAP caused higher indirect tension and resilient modulus. The inclusion of RAP into the mixtures in this study did not significantly influence the mixtures{u2019} densification energy indices. In terms of construction cost, 3.5, 7.03, 10.28 and 13.52 percent per kilometer were the reduced percentage of cost of mixture with 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40% respectively. | ||
