The study of using natural gasoline CNGL) as an alternative source of energy substituting gasoline was a prospect to increased domestic supply for petroleum product in the country. As an alternative fuel for spark ignition engines, performance tests were conducted on a 10 - HP Briggs & Stratton spark ignition engine coupled to a Zollner- dynamometer AC100 of Eddy-current type. The performance evaluation was focused on the feasibility of using natural gasoline and blending NGL with premium gasoline as a fuel. The results indicated that blending NGL with premium gasoline on the proportion of 50-to 50 C NPG55) was a border line of the highest percentage of NGL in the mixture that can be used as a fuel without any engine modification. The economic evaluation was focused on NPG55 price and the consequences of its adoption. The results indicated that NPG55 adoption was faced with a high NGL ex - refinery price, thus the NGL ex - refinery price was considered and proposed. Furthermore NPG55 can be substituted for regular gasoline with saves foreign exchange and supplement for natural gas (domestic resources) utilization, but have a reduction in tax revenue. | ||
