| 520 | _aTraditional taxis continue to be a popular mode of transportation in Bangkok, despite ongoing complaints about their service. As dissatisfaction drives some passengers to seek alternatives, GrabCar has grown as a popular choice. The purpose of this study is to assess passengers' WTP for improved satisfaction when changing from traditional taxis to GrabCar services, to compare satisfaction levels between the two modes, and to investigate the relationship between respondent characteristics and WTP. Using the CV method, T-tests, and multiple linear regression models. To achieve these goals, data were collected from people aged 18 and over in the Bangkok area and analyzed using the statistical program SPSS. The findings revealed that when only respondents with GrabCar experience were considered, the mean WTP was 52.49 Baht per trip (95% CI 50.32 to 54.67). In comparison, when all respondents were considered, including those who had used GrabCar and those who had never used it, the mean WTP was slightly lower, at 52.09 Baht per trip (95% CI 49.98 to 54.20). Furthermore, when comparing satisfaction levels, respondents who have used GrabCar report significant differences in satisfaction levels between traditional taxi services and GrabCar, particularly in terms of behavior. Furthermore, respondents who have used GrabCar tend to be more satisfied than the expectations of those who have not. Additionally, for the relationship analysis, female respondents have a higher willingness to pay than males, and those who live further away from main roads are more willing to pay than those who live closer. Students are more willing to pay than respondents working in government, state, or private companies. Respondents who have had issues with traditional taxi services are more likely to pay for GrabCar rides. Furthermore, respondents who typically take shorter trips with GrabCar and are used to paying higher fares show a higher willingness to pay. Furthermore, respondents with prior experience using GrabCar services tend to be more willing to pay than those without. These findings can use to help policymakers and industry stakeholders make educated decisions about regulations. | ||
