| 520 | _aUrbanization and the demand for mobility has initialized a massive development in the mass rapid transit infrastructure in the uprising Asia. Thailand is one of the countries in the region to focus on the mass rapid transit with the different projects Such as Airport Rail Link. According to Transit Oriented Development in this study 400m and 10 minute walking distance and time was considered as thresholds to determine the accessibility conditions of each ARL station. The pedestrian accessibility analysis was carried out for seven stations in this network, except for the Suvarnabhumi ARL station. The time taken for an individual to walk from a radius of 400m around the station to each ARL stations was used in production of isochronal maps. Furthermore the current pedestrian facilities provided to strengthen walking and intermodal passenger transfer methods available for ARL users were investigated. The results in the analysis suggests that the pedestrian accessibility of the stations located in the developed commercial and residential area such as Phaya Thai and Ratchaprarop are in a higher condition compared to other stations. The Makkasan and Hua Mak ARL station had the least accessibility. The detouring due to the prevailing infrastructure such as buildings, Toll ways were found out to be the main reason to increase the pedestrian walking time. | ||
