Thermal diffusion in an estuary - Bangkok : Asian Institute of Technology, 1981 - v, 80 p. - Thesis ; no. WA-80-18 . - Asian Institute of Technology. Thesis ; no. WA-80-18 .
A thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology
Thesis (M.Eng.) - Asian Institute of Technology, 1981
The warm water issuing from the 2,400 MW Bang Pakong Power Plant was investigated in the vicinity of the plant site under unsteady flow condition in a hydraulic model . Heat distribution in the far field and warm water recirculation to the pump intake were obtained. Reproduction of unsteady flow was made by a built-in tide generator, and the warm water generator distributed the pre-determined temperature to the outfall structure. Temperature distribution and warm water circulation due to the depression of outfall structure were also conducted. It was found that there was an effective temperature reduction due to lowering the elevation of outfall structure.
Thermal pollution of rivers, lakes, etc.
