A matrix is also proposed to link the strategic progression path with possible modes of overseas operations. Empirical evidence from LG Electronics Inc., one of representative firms in Korea's electronics industry, is presented to illustrate the strategic progression path. The matrix is then used to examine the roles played by diverse modes of overseas operations of LG Electronics Inc. in its strategic progression path.
